Arrival / Dismissal Procedures

 P.S. 215 Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Morning Line-up in the Schoolyard Begins at 8:10 am

School Begins at 8:30 am

Parents/guardians stay with their child/children until a teacher picks the them up. Parents/guardians with children in different grades, please stay with the youngest student in your family

 

  • Parents/guardians, students, and school staff wear a mask (face covering)
  • Pre-K students do not enter the schoolyard. Line-up is outside at the East 3rd Street auditorium entrance
  • Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 5th Grade enter the schoolyard on East 3rd Street
  • 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade enter the schoolyard on East 2nd Street
  • School staff will take random temperature checks of students
  • Kindergarten through 5th Grade classes are marked with signs in the schoolyard
  • Parents/guardians and children socially distance from one another; students will have painted spots on which to stand
  • Parents/guardians exit the schoolyard when the teacher arrives at 8:30 am. Teachers are available to communicate with parents during office hours, not during student arrival and dismissal.
  • “Grab and Go” breakfast and lunch will be available for all students

  

School Ends at 2:00 pm
Afternoon Pick-up Schedule
Grades 4 and 5 dismiss at 1:45 pm
Pre-K, Grades 1 and 3 dismiss at 1:50 pm
Kindergarten and Grade 2 dismiss at 1:55 pm
 

Please be prompt when picking up your child/children from school

  • Parents/guardians, students, and school staff wear a mask (face covering)
  • Pre-K students exit from the East 3rd Street auditorium entrance 
  • Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 5th Grade exit into the school yard near East 3rd Street
  • 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade exit into the school yard near East 2nd Street
  • Kindergarten through 5th Grade classes are marked with signs in the schoolyard
  • Parents/guardians pick-up their child/children in the schoolyard, socially distancing from one another.
  • Parents/guardians and students exit the schoolyard after pick-up. Teachers are available to communicate with parents during office hours, not during student arrival and dismissal
